The Letter — Reader
First access to new poems before they're published. Drafts, the lines that got cut, and the essays behind them. A voice in your inbox when there's something worth sending — and nothing when there isn't.
Reader is the paid tier of The Letter. You get every new poem and essay before it goes public, the drafts and discarded versions, and short notes on how each piece was actually made — the line that took three weeks, the stanza that had to go. It is the closest thing to reading over my shoulder.

Questions
Reader FAQ
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel in one click from your account page via the secure billing portal — no emails, no waiting. You keep Reader access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're never charged again.
- What do members actually receive?
- Every new poem and essay before it goes public, plus the material that never appears on the site: drafts, discarded versions, and short notes on how each piece was made. Readers also get first access to reading tickets and events.
- How does early access work?
- Reader pieces are sent to members first and unlocked in your account before their public date. Anything that later appears on the public site, you've already read — sometimes weeks earlier.
- What does my subscription support?
- The writing directly — poems, essays and the theatre work of Love's Reckoning. No advertisers, no sponsors, no algorithms.
